What Are The Signer Requirements?

As technology advances, fraud remains right on it’s tail. To be sure your closing is secure and compliant signers must have access to:

  • Current, Valid Photo Identification

  • A smartphone, tablet or computer with audio & visual capabilities

  • Be either physically located within the United States, a member of the US military overseas or on a US vessel, or a United States Citizen physically located in a US Embassy or Consulate at the time of signing

Which Counties Participate in
E-Recording?

County Registers of Deeds manage public records including real estate deeds. While many counties participate in E-Recording you can verify if your county will be able to process your electronic closing documents.

When Will Waveside Closings Begin Accepting Reservations?

Our home state of North Carolina is working toward E-Closings & REN acceptance and the NC Secretary of State is in the final stages of enactment! E-Closings are anticipated to be eligible in early 2026.
